Creasidence connects creators both in-person and online, enabling them to collaborate across creative industries and develop their skills through accelerator programs in visual, sound, and interactive arts.

The program is centered around a clear creative goal — each participant creates a one-page comic story, which is then published in a collaborative zine and showcased in an exhibition at SOMSOC Gallery.
This workshop is designed for both seasoned comic creators and those exploring graphic storytelling for the first time. We provide guidance, mentorship, and a supportive collaborative space where artists can learn, experiment, and create together.
Open call for Visual Artists:
- Learn more about visual storytelling, character design, and creative practices from Creasidence mentors, and receive personalized feedback to refine and improve your work
- Spend 4 days working in teams with other artists, creating a collaborative zine based on prepared frames by the Lead Mentor, while exchanging ideas and developing your storytelling skills
- Take part in the preparation of a collaborative exhibition in Harajuku and have your work on display for several days
- Public talks by professional illustrators and comic artists

The Comics Workshop will be held at Somsoc Gallery over all 4 days.
SOMSOC GALLERY, founded in 2022 in Harajuku, Tokyo, is a conceptual art gallery aimed at showcasing artists and projects that capture the contemporary spirit. The name "SOMSOC", derived from "COSMOS" reversed, symbolizes a universe within the human body, viewed from a unique perspective. The gallery acts as a bridge between internal and external universes, displaying artists' inner worlds in reality. It features a modular space for various events like exhibitions, performances, and sales, enhancing both online and offline artistic collaborations.
